Acorn - Fall is Here!
I brought an Acorn back and left it on the counter. A little sunlight. A little time. And it cracked open as seen above. I feel like a 3rd grader with a science experiment. Good stuff. On the plus side, a macro shot of an acorn is probably more classy than my previous inflatable turkey pictures. Ha!

Better now than later...
Yes, we took out this oak tree that was sitting 18 inches from our slab and about 6 inches from the edge of the roof. We ended up with only a small 8 inch hole in the roof after this procedure.

I saw this fallen tree today when I was out biking on the trails at the park. It's actually much bigger than it looks in this picture, and seeing it sent me back about 20 years. I had to stop riding so I could go walk and run back and forth across it.
