Greek-Style Cannellini and Vegetables

Making this was a lot of fun because of all of the colors and textures. You start with white onions and garlic. Add orange carrots then red pepper. Follow that with green and yellow zucchini and then pale yellow artichoke hearts. From the Moosewood book.

Stew, olivada, and beer

Chickpea artichoke stew plus Olivada on rye bread. Olivada is a simple black olive, garlic, pinenut, and EVOO spread. The Franziskaner is great.

Chicken Masala (4 of 5)

Cooking the sauce (simmer for 20 min, add the chicken, simmer another 10 min). It’s 4 teaspoons of garam masala, 1 8 oz can of tomato sauce, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 clove of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. The small pot is full of Jasmine rice.

Meat balls in hot sauce and sushi rice

Now this is what I am calling - home made food porn :-D Sushi rice (plain), Costco meat balls, and my home made hot sauce. Sauce: 1/2 a large Onion thinly diced 1.5 tps minced garlic 1/3 of a can of canned crushed tomatoes Sriracha sauce - i added about 2 tps Chili garlic sauce - i added about 2 tps (yeah... i like it spicy...) Onion powder to taste Garlic salt to taste Saute (sweat) the onions in some olive oil, add garlic, add crushed tomatoes, add Sriracha and chili garlic sauce, simmer, add onion powder and garlic salt, toss in the meat balls. mix the meat balls in the sauce till warm inside. serve on rice :) if you ever try this, let me know. this was improvised on a "I am hungry and there's nothing in to eat" kinda night.
