It has officially goodness...
And I'm thankful the first 3 letters of the job title weren't done in bold. Although that would have been HILARIOUS.

Hanging out at the, ya know, mall (in Delhi)
I grew up associating certain things with India and certain things with the States. So malls like this in India are always a little bit mind bending and out-of-body for me, even though I've been to many here before.

Yardhouse, Rancho Cucamonga, California
I'm working on my "git" slides for my presentation next week, kicking back sipping down a few unusual beers. Not a bad work environment. Eventually, Chris Marquardt and the folks associated with Tips from the Top Floor are supposed to be here.

Ryan, Todd & Josh at Xmas party with a "Headdress" theme in 2002
The headdress theme was inspired by that Ya-Ya Sisterhood movie that came out a few years back. My headdress was composed entirely of real fruit (including pineapple), nuts, and christmas tree lights. This was soon after becoming a vegetarian.... I wore the headdress to the bar that night, and the grapes went fast! At the end of the night, only the starfruit and a lime remained. Note my xmas/christian-inspired bling.

Beef with Broccoli and Snow Peas
This recipe was pretty good, but the sauce needs some work. It didn't stop me from getting seconds. :)

Beef with Broccoli and Snow Peas
Some broccoli, snow peas, and sauce (1/4 cup flour, 10.5 oz beef broth, 2 tbs sugar, 2 tbs soy sauce, 1/4 tsp minced ginger, 1 clove minced garlic, 2 tbs of sherry). The sauce was good, but it needs more soy sauce.

Chicken Masala (5 of 5)
We made chicken masala with jasmine rice and it was damn good.

Chicken Masala (4 of 5)
Cooking the sauce (simmer for 20 min, add the chicken, simmer another 10 min). It’s 4 teaspoons of garam masala, 1 8 oz can of tomato sauce, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 clove of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. The small pot is full of Jasmine rice.

Chicken Masala (1 of 5)
We are cooking Chicken Masala tonight. Here is the cubed chicken and the marinade. We used 1 cup plain yogurt, 3 teaspoons of garam masala, 2 teaspoons of coarse black pepper, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 1 tablespoon of minced ginger, and 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice from our lime tree (we forgot to buy lemon juice at the store). Lisa doesn't like spicy stuff, so we left out the cayenne pepper (although it was still spicy).

Minor Damage from Hurricane Ike
We lost three small trees, got a little water in the house, and lost power for 3 hours. Not bad considering roofs, fences, trees, signs, traffic lights, etc were destroyed much further away from the eye of the hurricane than us. Sorry for the crappy photo, but I had to block the sun with my hand to take this.

Big Dogs. Big Bed.
They love this dog bed I made for them. The original design used woven Kevlar and Spectra thread, but those are difficult to work with. This one is made of heavy duty cloth and shredded memory foam. Maybe I'll use the Kevlar for the next bed.

The Future of Computing - Piclens + Zcam Demo
http://www.piclens.com http://www.cooliris.com/site/support/... This is a homemade demo I made where I mashed up Piclens with a Z-cam to give it a 3rd dimension. The outcome: hands-free photo browsing!!! Amazing, huh? * * * PicLens says: "Piclens transforms your browser into a full-screen slideshow experience. With just one click, PicLens makes photos come to life via a cinematic presentation that goes beyond the confines of the traditional browser window. With PicLens, browsing and viewing images on the web will never be the same again." I found this on YouTube... http://youtube.com/watch?v=I5tEhGIf-2s
