faerie smile
She, the lovely faerie, played the role quite well. The lens flare above her head was a surprise on import.

A photo of a pumpkin ornament, looking at a picture of said ornament atop a pumpkin. This is the first shot taken with my new Canon 24-105 F/4 L lens. And, I shot this handheld at 1/15 sec!

Recording Eka and I at the Doctor's office with his new camera. I offered to email the picture to him, that freaked his mom out. Haha technophobe.

I'm really liking the shallow depth of field and natural light of my 17-55 IS f/2.8 lens. I didn't even bring a flash unit on this cruise.

More fake than ever
I got a credit card offer from Discover today. They're not even sending fake plastic anymore... they're just printing cardstock. I'm sure this cost reduction means they'll be able to send me even more of these.

The coffee in the commons sucks. In the snack bar, they serve Seattle's Best, which isn't that bad. But when they offered Seattle's Best cups for us to take our commons coffee back to our offices, that was just wrong.

The Wicked Wasp
This creature in flight is the devil incarnate. Yes this was a zoom macro lens. No way I'd get close to the beast.

Slaughter
I debated on posting this photo. He told me his name, which I forgot, but his nick name is "slaughter". He just finished 15 years without parole for involuntary manslaughter. My first and last thoughts are with the victim. This photo was taken after the diverse works function. I was going back to my car through the park across from le carafe. I stopped to take pictures. Perhaps not wise. He struck up a conversation. Sang a rap song he wrote for his son while in prison. Volunteered for the photo. I actually declined further photos at one point. The last thing he said to me? It was "don't forget your lens." Interesting night. I pray for the victim so many years ago. And that slaughter makes good.
