I brought an Acorn back and left it on the counter. A little sunlight. A little time. And it cracked open as seen above. I feel like a 3rd grader with a science experiment. Good stuff.
On the plus side, a macro shot of an acorn is probably more classy than my previous inflatable turkey pictures. Ha!

Better now than later...
Yes, we took out this oak tree that was sitting 18 inches from our slab and about 6 inches from the edge of the roof. We ended up with only a small 8 inch hole in the roof after this procedure.
