From all the other STB's I've tested, I've found the A-100 to be suprisingly fast. The Apple TV isn't an embedded device, its a full blown PC with a harddrive and costs much more. If I had to choose one between the two, I'd choose the A-100.

you can't… but my understanding is that you can rip DVDs and watch whatever discs you have stored instead. I hear the Roku/Netflix movie selection sucks.
