Spider on web
I shot this spider with flash, but it's also backlit. Hence it looks like it's internally lit. :) UPDATE: Oh geez, apparently this is a Hobo Spider, and quite dangerous. I'm glad I was shooting this through a glass, but now I have to figure out how to rid my house of hobo spider infestations.

Ducati ST4 Summer ride 2007
A break in the summer rains allowed a bike ride. Whew. Much needed. The road was a little more open than the front porch of the house. We often park the bikes here to cool off before putting them away in the garage. It seemed a good time for pics of the silly grins on our faces after an awesome ride to Belleville.

Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary in West Houston. We just call it the bird sanctuary. Betty and Flo do a great job with this facility that thousands drive past every day without knowing.
