This is the little hole I had to squeeze through early on in the cave

Notice the white stuff around the hole. It's a type of cave mold. Nice and musty smelling.

Duke Heart Test -- Lobby

My heart test was done at Duke's Children's Hospital. Go figure -- most of the people with holes in their heart are tested as kids. This place looked very Disney.

Strawberry pillow

This pillow was knitted on a Singer 155 bulky knitter using Red Heart acrylic braid and a 12 hole punch card that was made by hand. I gave this to my step mother for Christmas in 2006.

You can't really see this but right next to where I was taking these pics one of the wolves was trying to get my scent through these holes and that is how I got such good close ups

Better now than later...

Yes, we took out this oak tree that was sitting 18 inches from our slab and about 6 inches from the edge of the roof. We ended up with only a small 8 inch hole in the roof after this procedure.

Holy Cow!

These cows have been given a fistula, a hole directly into the stomach that scientists can reach into and study to see how certain foods get digested. Through this kind of work, better food can be concocted and studies into stomach cancer and other problems can be conducted. Although it looks inhumane, the cows don't seem to mind.

Thousand Mirrors

Leonardo da Vinci was apparently obsessed with mirrors in his art work. The above was a picture of Cory in a mirror exhibit in Houston Museum of Natural Science ("Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius" display), looking through the hole you can see a thousand of him. The exhibit seemed pretty forgettable until I saw this link: http://dsc.discovery.com/news/slideshows/Leonardo-mirror.html showing Da Vinci's art and how mirrors show the true meanings behind them. Really blew my mind.
