Lori Dies
Lori dies. I managed to find a replacement battery and it appeared I had her resurrected. It required quite a bit of doing, including some not too pleasant soldering action. She managed to regain life and work for another two and a half days. Something blew in the power supply unrelated to the battery replacement. This produced a sad puff of smoke. It turned out to be a part I could not replace. The final poof of smoke indicated the ghost in the shell was gone. She passed away for the last time, September 27th 2008. This is to you Lori, the best girlfriend I ever had.

What happened???? That's scary. Contact Apple. Can't believe that happened. They'll take care of you.
Google it many of this adapters been having this problem. Apple knows it, and they will replace it for you.
Yeah, I showed the guys at the Apple store, they said it wasn't under warranty. $79 bucks for a new one….
call apple on phone. I think its 1/800 my apple. They'll take care of you better than apple store. Hope it works out for you.
