Look! I cooked! In my attempt to lower my cholesterol, I cooked snapper with roasted grape tomatoes, basil and garlic. It was quite good and sickeningly healthy. The tomatoes were some of the marvelous home grown ones from Pasquale's kitchen garden. Lucky us!

Protestors in Black and White
Again, playing with the 1/3 rule. A bit of cropping. Note the irony of the merge sign on the right hand third versus the protest sign on the left hand third. Lucky shot out the window in traffic.

Rackspace Mini Cooper
Rackspace gave this Mini Cooper away to a lucky person in a drawing. The contestants were those who refereed new employees. If I recall correctly, it says "I won this car for referring brilliant people for Rackspace!"

The Machines de L’île
If you are the lucky ones who have friends/family/holidays in Brittany. You have to go to Nantes. First of all, the city saw the birth of one of our beloved genius, Jules Vernes. But I will not talk literature now, but mechanics. When you go downtown, near the river Loire, there is a very particular island in which dwell many stange creatures, half steel, half wood. The Machines de L’île is an artistic project situated in the former warehouses of the Nantes shipyard. Part Vernes, part Vinci and definitely part Dr Moreau, you cannot miss the gallery of the Machines, the Heron Tree and the Great Elephant (dare you ride it?). It is worth the travel for any steampunk lover!

Fallen Tree over Gully
I saw this fallen tree today when I was out biking on the trails at the park. It's actually much bigger than it looks in this picture, and seeing it sent me back about 20 years. I had to stop riding so I could go walk and run back and forth across it.

My Backpack
This backpack has been with me every single day since I bought it in July 2003. Really, every day. Today I had to mail it back to Marmot for warranty work on a zipper. This has been a great backpack, I highly recommend Marmot.

Looks interesting. Houston?
Yea, a few blocks from my apt. I like it, and it's interesting alright, the owners are funny to watch.
