Ignatius J. Reilly
That's me standing with the statue of Ignatius J. Reilly under the clock of the former D.H. Holmes Department Store, now the Chateau Sonesta Hotel on Canal Street in New Orleans. This is the location of the opening scene of my favorite book, A Confederacy of Dunces.

critter art car
I recall shooting this one at the Art Car Parade, but in no way did he look this menacing. Solitary, just past the outside patio, laying in wait. Taken at the Sullivan Group Event Planning Open House 2007. Note: Sullivan is a client.

Office Prank
Somebody brought kolaches into the Houston office of Perficient this morning. After I snagged one, I thought it would be funny to stick a "Management Only" sign next to them. I love office pranks.

Fallen Tree over Gully
I saw this fallen tree today when I was out biking on the trails at the park. It's actually much bigger than it looks in this picture, and seeing it sent me back about 20 years. I had to stop riding so I could go walk and run back and forth across it.

This backpack has been with me every single day since I bought it in July 2003. Really, every day. Today I had to mail it back to Marmot for warranty work on a zipper. This has been a great backpack, I highly recommend Marmot.

….now I am curious about what has your mind occupied. ;)
Hot dogs, obviously!
Nah, I'm just a big fan of A Confederacy of Dunces, and I'd heard that this book had lots of similar, but real life, stories. There's some funny stuff in it.
