Captain Neil's place, Palo Alto, CA
I'm working on a new version of the booking engine for Geekcruises, so I'm here at "Captain" Neil's home office, drinking the generous supplies of Coke Zero, while hacking code.

Interesting method, plastic wrap. Wait isn't wrap made of oil too? Interesting. This is a good illustration of how nuts Houston has become in the last ten hours.

The cost of cars in Singapore
If you don't believe that Singapore has some of the most expensive cars in the world, realize that this is US$67,000 for a Honda Civic! When I lived here during the mid-1990's cars actually cost 5-6 times as much as in the US because of the frenzied bidding for the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) which are auctioned off...you cannot put the car on the road withOUT the COE. - Taken at 6:51 PM on June 30, 2007 - cameraphone upload by ShoZu
